Our environment matters!
We respect our planet by building our homes to high energy efficiency standards. The core of our approach is the EnergyStar philosophy. Not only are the appliances and heating/ cooling euipment EnergyStar certified, the whole house has acheived this certification through a rigorous certification program monitored by the EPA. An EnergyStar house will use at least 30% less energy for heeating, cooling, and water heating than comparable homes built to the Model Energy Code per the U.S. EPA.

We believe a home should be built to withstand the trends of time. Our designs reflect the lowcountry architecture of the last 150 years. The protective feel of exposed roof overhangs and gables, the welcoming wrap around porches while preserving the beauty of nature around us.

We can start with the energy efficient factor. The less dependent we are on generated power the less we impact our planet. This directly helps us reduce our carbon footprint.
What is a carbon footprint?
This is how we measure our carbon impact on our atmosphere. Fuels used to generate power or to ship products generates pollution damaging our environment. The products we build with should come from the US, not from abroad. The fuel it takes for bamboo flooring to be shipped increase the carbon footprint in construction.
